FAQ
For those who couldn't make it to Road Atlanta for Saturday, October 10, click here to jump to the official web site of the Petit Le Mans, a 10-hour/1,000-mile version of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Many thanks to our friends at SpeedVision for broadcasting much of the race. Click here to view the painful footage of the factory GT1 backflipping.

Only one 968 was raced, by Dave White Racing of Tampa, FL. The Dave White folks were kind enough to let me poke around the paddock and take some photos, even after their car cracked a turbo unit (see "Post-Race" photos below) on the 50th lap.

I'll add more verbiage about the race later; my top priority was to post these pictures! All but the first "During the Race" photo were taken by me with a Kodak DC210 digital camera (it only has a 2x zoom lens, so I couldn't get really tight shots). Click on the thumbnails below for a full-sized photo.

Pre-Race Note the carbon-fiber dash! Instead of helping push, I'll just take a picture...
During the Race Check out www.petitlemans.com for more photos! Notice the sign in the background. Not the fastest shutter speed...
Post-Race
Compare this with the factory Turbo S photo.

Notice the crack to the left of the collar.  Unfortunately the team didn't have a spare.
