Here's the story direct from Lloyd:
"Just read the Pano story on the 968 Turbo
RS and was
shocked to see my car on the cover page. The car I am talking about is the red factory
968 Turbo RS. This was the factory prototype and development car.
"This car has been in the States since December 1994. I heard about this car while in
Germany for the Porsche Cup banquet in 1994. I purchased the car from Thomas Bscher and
had it sent back to the USA. I raced this car at Sebring 12-hour in 1995. The car was
still yellow as raced at Le Mans. At Le Mans it was driven by Neilson Bscher, Owen-Jones.
This is the only 968rs to ever be raced at Le Mans.
"We also ran Road Atlanta in April 1995. This car was raced by David Murray at Road Atlanta
in 1996 and had lead 40 min of 45 min race; with 4 laps remaining fell back due to a
cracked header (lost boost).
It was also driven by Reuter and prepared by Joest.
"Since then this car has been totally stripped and brought back to its original red color.
It also was the first to have the additional bracing/roll cage tied to the suspension p/u
points as Bruce's car has. Extensive engine work has been done including a full EFI data
logger system and dash display. When we stopped development we were at 450
hp & 498 ft/lb. @
2750 rpm at 1.3 bar boost.
"Car is currently in pristine condition and raced in Porsche Club events."
